I'm actually in love with my N95-8GB. @damienmulley right that it is too plasticky but the functionality is jaw-droppingly good. Keep finding new things hidden away (barcode reader in "Office"!). If Vodafone Live wasn't such utter shit then I almost wouldn't need a laptop most of the time when I'm out and about. Maps+Navigation had both Fermoy and Mitchelstown bypasses (but not Cahir). The only thing it is missing is a touch screen (which I why I bring the N770 with me most places too)
I uninstalled Jaiku app on phone since it doesn't work with Vodafone Lies. Ditto Fring. I guess Meebo would since it only uses http but does browser support it? Haven't tried Twibble (as mentioned by Pat) yet.
Realplayer on N95 seems to have major issue with BBC "ra" files. I then converted them to MP3 but it was still only able to play some of them. Bit-rate or codec?
Realplayer was not able to play "Mobile TV" from Vodafone BarelyLive either but I think we all know where the problem lies there.
RealPlayer on mobile phones will freeze and even crash the phone when trying to play content that has been encoded with different flavours of DRM. I think there is a BBC DRM tracker that causes problems with Real Media files.
What I really want, I think, is a mobile browser and media player. The only thing I like about N91 is WiFi. I'm on Gmail and GReader all day and night around the house on WiFi.
I share your frustrations with Vodafone and data - that's why I use it as little as possible! They don't understand the internet so the only strategy they can come up with is to charge through the nose ...
I'd wait for the next iteration of the iPhone. I have it the current one and there's still not enough good apps on it. Camera resolution is good enough. Best mobile web experience ever though. Kicks the crap out of any browser on any other phone and the Nokia770 but since I'm not interested in paying 80 quid for Turbosim and there's not a phone unlock, it's not a phone.
@conn If you know you want walk-around wifi screenscapes that fit in a bag, you should review the Nokia 810 tablet and the Nokia E90. Both give you screens large enough to skim text quickly. Both kick off mobile screens on many sites like mobile mail, mobile feed readers and mobile versions of MP3 sites. But if you are tied into the Javascript and widgety wonder of many large sites, you need something like the iPhone to give you that experience. In my opinion, most of the web is bloated and I would rather have speedy text to read rather than wait to read an on-screen full-browser presentation.

I think the N95-3 is several heads above the N91 and its podcatcher is quite functional.

Interesting. I ripped the live streams using mplayer. Didn't realise there was DRM hiding there.

It's perfect if you want GPRS, 2MP camera and the ability to flick pictures on the touch-screen with your index finger :-)
Screen is awesome tho!

I am still very, very happy with my HTC Touch. But that might just be me though...
